Orange Chicken

  • 300 gm Boneless chicken pieces cubes
  • 250 ml Orange juice
  • 1 tbsp Orange rind
  • 2 tsp Garlic chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Soya sauce
  • Corn flour as required
  • 2 Egg
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Food oil for frying purpose
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds roasted
  • 1 Onions chopped


  • In a mixing bowl, add boneless chicken, salt and mix well. Keep it for 10 minutes.
  • Beat eggs untill fluffy. Heat oil in a pan.
  • Dip chicken pieces in beaten egg and then coat it in cornflour.
  • Deep fry the chicken till golden yellow.
  • In a bowl, add orange juice, sugar, soy sauce and cornflour and make the slurry.
  • In another pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil. Add chopped garlic and ginger and saute for few seconds.
  • Add fried chicken pieces. Mix well. Lastly add orange rind zest.
  • Cook on a medium flame till the gravy thickens and chicken pieces are well coated with orange sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped spring onion, roasted sesame seed, and orange slices.
  • Serve hot with fried rice or plain rice.
