Indian Jelly Halwa (Bombay Halwa)

Famous karachi halwa. Made without cornflour, easy to cook and appetizing dessert for any festival.

Ingredients

  • 1 ltr Full Fat Milk
  • 1 pck Agar Agar
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 pcs Cardamom
  • 3 drops Vanilla Essence
  • 1 tbsp Almond powder
  • 2 tbsp Mixed nuts chopped
  • 2 drops Food coloring

Instructions

  • Boil milk in a deep bottomed pan.
  • Add sugar, chopped nuts, vanilla essence, food color, almond powder and stir for 5 min.
  • Add agar agar powder to it and keep stirring till it thickens.
  • When it starts to bubble and overflow, switch off the stove and transfer into a mould.
  • Let it cool for a minute and keep in refrigerator.
  • Cut into desired shapes and serve it.
