2 Cloves
1 stick Cinnamon
1 tsp Ginger Paste
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Ghee / Saturated Butter
2 tsp Yogurt
2 tsp Coriander Leaves chopped
1 cup Potatoes cubed
1/2 cup Tomatoes cubed
1 cup Mix vegetable peas, carrots , capsicum chopped
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Salt as per taste

Swaminarayan Khichdi Step by step

Wash daal and rice. Soak mixture for 15 minutes

Take a pressure cooker and heat 2 tsp ghee in it.

Add mustard seeds, ginger paste, turmeric and stir fry.

Add all the vegetables and stir fry for 2 mins.

Add cinnamon stick, cloves and fry for 2 more minutes.

Add the soaked daal and rice and stir fry. Add 5 cups of water, salt and red chilli powder.

Pressure cook for 4 whistles. When cooked remove from cooker add ghee, curd, stir well and garnish with coriander.
