Moong Dal Khichadi (Indian Porridge) Step by step

Wash and soak the moong dal and rice together for 10 minutes. Drain the water.

In a pressure cooker mix the dal rice, turmeric, salt and 41/2 cups of water.

Pressure cook for 3 - 4 whistles and set aside for 10 minutes till the steam has been released.

Remove from pressure cooker, add the ghee and mix well.

Serve hot with kadhi / pickels or papad.
