Kheer-E-Shahi (Makhana Pudding) Step by step
Soak 1 cup rice in 2 cups of water and keep it aside. Soak saffron strands into the 2-3 spoon of boiled milk. Boil 1-liter milk, add crushed cardamom seeds and bring it to boil.
Now, add soaked rice into the boiling milk, boil the milk till the rice is properly cooked. Once the milk comes to boil, add the soaked saffron strands, add chopped raisins and almonds to it.
Now, take a small cup, add the 2-3 spoon of the leftover boiling milk and add the required custard powder. mix it well so that no lumps are found in the custard mix.
Just add the custard mix into the boiling milk and keep stirring it for few minutes so that lumps are not formed and the custard mix mixes well into the boiling milk. Now add honey, sugar and give slight whisk.
