Gujarati Puran Poli (Vedmi) Step by step
Wash 3-4 times chickpea, cook in cooker until 5-6 whistle. Mix flour and salt, Knead it like chapati dough. After cooked chickpea, make a smooth paste in the grinder. In a pan take chickpea paste and jaggery mix, cook on a low gas flame.
Add sugar after 10 mins, stir this mixture till it transforms into a liquid. Cook it till leaving the pan. Add ghee and cardamom powder, mix it well. Cool it for 15 minutes, make small balls of dough.
Take 1 ball and roll it with roller pin. Make a ball shape of puran, put puran on small rolled chapati, covered puran with it. On a low gas flame, roll slowly this puran poli, roast puran Poli with ghee, like paratha.
